That's Gate of Pain with the dryders, Gate of Madness is the one with Shiro (which is a lot easier than people make it out to be, imo. Shiro's a pushover compared to how he was in Factions)
Prophecies: Ring of Fire and Abaddon's Mouth. Ether Seals are not fun...
Factions: Vizunah, Tahnnakai, and Raisu. "let's throw lots of enemies at them" is just bad game design, period. The time limit on the latter two sure as hell doesn't help either. Imperial Sanctum and Arborstone can be hard, the former because a good portion of the celestial skills SUCK, and the latter because Danika is an idiot even by NPC standards...
Nightfall: Jennur's Horde and Dzagonur Bastion. I completed the latter only twice, and have never been able to do it again...

Rush the king as fast as you can to save him after the initial group dies then it's pretty much business as usual like in normal mode.

There are no hard missions anymore. In Normal Mode the missions became so easy that I'd laugh if someone tells me he doesn't make it.
In Hard Mode I completed most missions with the help of one friend and our hero's. The mission we tried most times was Aurora Glade (3x) and Arborstone (2x, Damn the Danika Bug that she doesn't come along!)

Eternal Grove is the hardest mission in the game for me.
For that mission its not some casual thing, it really feels like a mission to me. Divide and conquer, opposing armies are coming in with siege weapons, you have a small troop against almost impossible odds and you have to protect the President (tree singers). You need all the help you can get so you recruit whatever you can find (spirits and Minions) Your trained hand begans to wipe out things (assassin) while the rest of your fleet tackles on the main threats (afflicted). Then Germany comes with HItler (afflicted and shiro) and the tables turn to go pwn Germany...all else is forgotten -_-.
Meh seriously Eternal grove is the hardest mission in the game for me
And getting masters for it....is stupidly annoying in Hard mode its down right crazy
Gate of Madness is nothing, As the greatest assassin...in the game I took on Shiro...rumored to be my competition and thrased him proving my title -_-.
The lich is so weak its adorable.
Prophecies is annoying because I get lost....seriously eternal grove is the hardest out of everything.

Prophecies : I really can't think of one that is that hard, but the most irritating is definately Thirsty River. Don't know why, just don't like it.

Prophecies: Either Aurora Glade (simply because PuGs don't know how to run the stupid crystals!) or Abaddon's Mouth (not only is it, like RoF and Hell's, practically unPuGgable, but henching won't work either because of the beginning when you need to AoE the guards off the wall).
Factions: Arborstone! In fact, I just put up a thread about it. That or Vizunah Square (your best bet is to go into an international district with a full party of henchies and pray you get paired up with an all-NPC team).

Hmmm, with my warrior i slipped through anything without problems but most of time i spent with:
P: Dunes Of Despair bonus
F: Vizunah Square masters
NF: Jennur's Horde masters
I agree and think that Gate of Madness is hardest mission all over the game but I was quite prepared for it so I didn't have lot of trouble henching it in second run, what I can't say about Dunes Of Despair and Vizunah Square, Tahnakai Temple also gave me a hard time cuz I wasn't able to produce quick killing that time. As soon as I bought NF all was cake-walk.

Currently, the greatest obstacles in the game come from lack of coordination and/or lack of knowledge of any mission. Yet, where the real problems come in are when you also throw lack of skill into the mix.
Nightfall: Dragznoir Bastion. Lack of skill and coordination will doom this mission every time.
Factions: Since the incorporation of heroes, most of these missions are doable to a minimum of expert,if not masters. Most trouble you would have will be Eternal Grove, due to the split scenario, and Vizunah for the huge mobs.
Prophecies: At one point this would be a no brainer, THK before they dumbed it down. Now, it isnt the missions, but the bonuses that can prove daunting. Dunes, for the time constraints for succeeding at both.

Honestly I'd say it's probably the one of easiest now, after the afflicted explosions were nerfed and heroes was introduced it's easily done at level 17'ish with level 15'ish heroes, but ONLY if you get all henchmen on the second team (or a better than usual PUG).

I always answer this question with respect to how hard it is with henchies not a guild team (never PUGs since many PUG teams can make the easiest mission almost impossible).
Normal Mode:
Prophecies: Nothing now but when I first went through it was Thirsty River. Now I find Thirsty River fun, even iwayed it with a guild group at 2 am because we were bored.
Factions: Eternal Grove
Nightfall: Jennur's Horde
Hard Mode:
Prophecies: Still nothing really but maybe
Factions:Eternal Grove
Nightfall:Haven't finished all of them yet and haven't had any trouble yet.
